- 16 Real Question Types
- By "Real" we mean that each of the question types are functionally different, asking information from responders in unique ways. We do not include spacers, text between questions, images, orientation options, or response constraint options as "question types" in order to artifically increase our question type count.

- Publish a more professional looking survey and increase responses. Access an easy-to-use form and color picker, and choose colors, font sizes, font styles, and fonts for an extensive number of categorized, survey structure items -- many more items than the low cost providers.
- Create your own library of custom survey branding themes, optionally starting with a standard theme (like some low cost providers). Also optionally attach a logo file to each theme you create (unlike the low cost providers). Quickly apply any library theme to any survey.
- If you're skilled, use a fully customizable, style sheet for your surveys. With a style sheet you have ultimate survey branding flexibility.
- Choose from one of 18 standard themes.
- "Passed In Data": Default Responses; Mail Merge; Redirect URL; Authentication
- It can frustrate your responders to ask them questions for which you already know the answers, and can also lead to inaccurate results.
- You may have information about each responder that you want in the survey results, but don't want customers to see. Analysis is more robust if this information is included.
- Pass up to twelve data items per respondent into the survey that contain supplemental, known and configurable information about each respondent. Use the data to assign default responses to one or more survey questions -- hidden or not.
- Pass in data either with the common and anonymous take survey, web link, or with customers you set up within the application who will receive application-generated email survey invitations.
- For instance, you might pass in a customer id, the service date and gender, and assign default responses to the hidden survey questions: "What is the customer id?" and "What is the service date?" and "What is customer's gender?" The questions and answers appear in results reports and export files.
- Assign any of these data items as mail merge fields in personalized, email survey invitations you send out. For example:
"Dear [parm_first] [parm_last], We would like to learn about your experience with your customer support phone call on [parm_svcdate]. Can you take just a few minutes..."
- Pass customer-specific data back out in an optional redirect URL, directly to your own web site. Your own site can then further processe this data.
- Authenticate passed in data and only show survey if it's a valid responder (additional charges apply for this service).
- Randomization
- Randomize question choices (offered by the low cost providers).
- Randomize the order of questions on each survey page (not offered by most low cost providers)
- Randomize sets of survey pages, where each set has one or more survey pages. Optionally decrease the number of randomized, survey page
sets seen by responders to any number between 1 and the total number of randomized page sets. Optionally add in mutual exclusivity of page sets,
which means that no responder will ever see certain combinations of page sets, e.g., no responder will ever see both page set 1 and page set 2 in their survey. Not offered by any low cost competitors.
- Secure Surveys
- Encrypt your surveys (we use 256 bit SSL certificates) so that all survey data passing over the Internet is secure and un-readable -- the same high level of security as in on-line banking. Not offered by most low cost providers.
- Email and Phone Support
- Email us (offered by everyone) or call us with your questions or issues. The back and forth dialogue available by phone with our expert, in-house, U.S.-based customer service personnel, saves you valuable time and frustration.
- "Piping"
- Automatically pass the responses from one or more questions to later questions and question choices in the survey.

Response information passed from one or more questions can be embedded in a subsequent question's text, in one or more of the question's choice response options, or in both areas.
- For instance, if you ask someone to choose their favorite fruit and they choose "peaches", a later question in the survey might be, "Please explain why you like peaches so much?" And if you use this Piping capability, along with the above Passed in Data capability that includes the person's first name, a later question in the survey can even be personalized, such as "John, please explain why you like peaches so much?"
- Shared Accounts
- Create shared accounts with separate user names and passwords, and assign different user permissions to those accounts.
- For instance, allow some colleagues to log in and view or export results after they set up custom filters. Allow another colleague to login and change the surveys.
- Quotas
- Assign a completed responses quota not only to the entire survey (offered by the low cost provider), but also to specific choice responses of one or more questions. This capability is critical if you want to limit your responders pool to people who meet different specific criteria, such as in panel studies.
- Write your own personalized message that is seen by responders who are prevented from responding because of quota exceedances. Preserve your customers' goodwill.
- SPSS Integration
- Export an SPSS-formatted results file and directly open it within the powerful SPSS statistical analysis package. This is a popular feature with our researchers.

- Our free trial is good for 30 days, unlimited surveys, all features, and 20 completed responses. The responses total is low because the trial is not meant for production purposes; that requires an upgrade.
